Privacy policy

OneDhikr is a free app with no accounts, no ads and no tracking. This page explains exactly what the app does with information, in plain words.

What stays on your phone

Your dhikr counts and history, your chosen dhikr, your settings, and your city for salah times are stored only on your phone. We do not have a server that receives them, and we cannot see them.

Location

If you tap "Show salah times", the app asks for your location once. It is used on your phone to calculate salah times and the Qibla direction. The app rounds it to about 1 km before saving it, and it is never sent to us. Your phone's operating system may use Apple's or Google's own services to turn the location into a city name; that is governed by their privacy policies.

Notifications

Salah and after-salah dhikr reminders are scheduled on your phone. No push server is involved and no notification data leaves your device.

Compass

The Qibla compass reads your phone's heading sensor only while the Dhikr screen is open. Nothing is recorded or sent.

Backups

"Save a backup" creates a file and hands it to your phone's share menu. You decide where it goes (for example your own Google Drive, iCloud Drive or email). We never receive it. "Restore from a backup" reads a file you choose.

App updates

To deliver fixes, the app checks Expo's update service (expo.dev) when it opens. That request includes the app version and platform, and like any internet request it reveals your IP address to Expo. It contains no dhikr data and no personal details. See Expo's privacy policy.

Listen (audio)

The Listen button uses your phone's built-in text-to-speech voice, on your phone.

What we do not do

No accounts, sign-up or login.
No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
No selling or sharing of data. We do not collect it to begin with.

Children

OneDhikr is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored. Your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google) may keep a copy as part of your device backup; you can manage that in your phone's settings.
